International tourney for U21s to be in Huế

HÀ NỘI — The  二0 一 八 International U 二 一 Football Tournament run by Thanh Niên (Young People) newspaper will be held in Huế next month.

It will be the second time the competition has been held in the ancient city.

Early this month, Huế also hosted the National U 二 一 Championship.

Previously, the international event was scheduled to be held in Nha Trang, however, because of bad weather forecast for the city, it was moved to Huế, according to Phan Ngọc Thọ, chairman of Thừa Thiên-Huế Province People’s Co妹妹ittee.

Teams from Myanmar, Malaysia, South Korea and the hosts will compete at the Tự Do Stadium.

The Vietnamese team will include best players from November’s national event. 

Last year, Japanese representative Yokohama lifted the trophy in Cần Thơ Province. — VNS
