Cold-Busting Shots
The start of winter is basically an open invitation to getting sick. It doesn’t help that you’ve probably been trading early bedtimes for late-night holiday parties and going to way too many happy hours. When you feel that first sign of a sore throat, bust out a zingy cold-busting shot to knock those germs out of your system for good.
These (Cold-Busting Shots) shots start with a hefty dose of vitamin A (carrot juice) and vitamin C (orange juice), with lots of anti-inflammatory cinnamon, anise to stop your nose from running, and antibacterial, throat-soothing honey. Whisk in spicy minced ginger and ground cayenne to clear out your sinuses, and a splash of alkalizing apple cider vinegar. Toss the mixture into a shot glass—knock back a few of these every day until you’re feeling better.
