Spiced Whiskey Sour
Five-spice powder turns the classic whiskey sour into something special. You can double, triple, or quadruple the spiced sugar syrup and refrigerate for up to two weeks. Use in cocktails, or drizzle over hot oatmeal.
Yield: Serves 2 (serving size: about 1/2 cup)
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon five-spice powder
- 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 3 ounces bourbon
- Ice
- Garnish: lemon rind strips
